I've now finished the elevator / horizontal stabiliser, ready for covering. The next items to assemble are the wings. I reckon it took me about three to four days to make the elevator. A couple of people who've seen what I'm doing have commented that it's rather like a big meccano kit... It is, so it goes together quite quickly. If you look through the pictures you'll see a couple of tips for using cable ties to make the job easier. The wings are more complex to build than the control surfaces which I've worked on so far, and I'm about to go off for a little sailing trip, so there won't be much more to report for a few weeks.
